One Friday night, I had supper with my nephew in a bistro
and we discussed about sales career. My nephew, Alfred, who just graduated from
the university was working as a management trainee in one trading house.
He asked me: Tan, compared to other professionals, like
doctors, lawyers, the more senior work experience they have, do they have more
value?
I just stared at him.
He further explained, I noticed from new paper, after age
40, the sales representative is less demanding, isn’t it? All the vacancies
that are being advertised, the recruitment agent prefers to hire sales
professionals who are below 35.
